Enjoy Music? We have a band that can accommodate all levels of musicianship and we invite you to come out and join us.
The band offers you a chance to play with other musicians in any of our four skill levels. The Senior Level Concert Band, Intermediate Level Concert Band and Junior Level Band all participate in public performances throughout the year. The Novice Band can teach you how to read music and to play the instrument of your choice. Rehearsals have begun (2023-2024) and the bands are open for recruitment year-round!
Senior Band: Playing level Senior high school to University level. It rehearses at Claremont school (4980 Wesley Road) in the band room on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The Senior band is in demand for clarinet, bassoon, tuba, baritone, and percussion players!
Intermediate Band: Playing level school grades 8 to 10. It rehearses also at Claremont school (4980 Wesley Road) in the choir room on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm
Junior Band: Playing level minimum one year. It rehearses at St. Andrews Regional High School (880 McKenzie Ave) in the band room on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:00 pm
Novice Band: Beginner level. It rehearses at St. Andrews Regional High School (880 McKenzie Ave) in the band room on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00pm
Please choose the band level that best suits you. After trying out for a few rehearsals, the conductor (or section leader) can advise you if one of our other bands might be a better fit. New members are allowed 4 rehearsals before joining the band.

The Intermediate, Junior, and Novice Bands are welcoming new members for all sections! While GVCB membership caters largely to adult players (mature players grades 11+), applying to a band by younger players is subject to consideration (based upon music proficiency and approval by band conductor).
Membership dues are $200 per year.
