Hello Intermediate Band Members (as well as prospective members!)

We are hoping you had a great summer break and are ready to start making music with the GVCB folks once again. This is going to be an exciting year for all! Our first meeting for our 2025-2026 season will be on Monday, September 8th at 7 pm in the Choir Room of Claremont High School, and then we will meet regularly every Monday in that same location from 7 to 9 pm provided the school is open.

To see when the school will be open, please take a look at the 2025-2026 calendar published by School District 63. Please note that when the school is not available due to a holiday or any other reasons, we will make other arrangements and either meet elsewhere or cancel the rehearsal.

Have you registered for our 2025-2026 season yet? Please do so by filling out this registration form. The membership fee is $220 for the whole year and, while we prefer you pay your dues by e-transfer to GVCBtreasurer@gmail.com, other forms of payment are also available. If you are facing financial difficulties and can’t afford your dues, please contact our Band Manager, Alfredo, at Alf.Franco.Cea@gmail.com.

Upcoming public performances:

GVCB as a whole will be present at this year’s Saanich Fair on Labour Day weekend. It will be our first time having a booth at this long-standing, popular event and we are all very excited about it! We will have an instrument petting zoo and will also have small ensambles of three or four musicians playing some music at various times over the three-day weekend. This is an event you don’t want to miss. Please do come say ‘Hi’!
